Hand-painted by our artisan partners in southern Spain, the exquisite green lebrillo is a timeless piece of Spanish stoneware. True to its origins, the piece features motifs from the Andalusian countryside. A grey heron or garza real stands among pomegranate branches, its long neck twisted as it pecks at a closed bud. A panoply of sea shells cover the walls of the basin.
Hand-crafted in Granada, our Garza Traditional Lebrill is sure to make an impression.
These ceramics held great significance for families, passed down from one generation to another as precious heirlooms. If, by any unfortunate circumstance, they broke, they were lovingly repaired with staples, never to be discarded.
While they have retained their practical function at the table, lebrillos have also became a sought-after collector’s item. They are often used to liven up a wall display or add a decorative accent to a garden.
