Our Plétora Fajalauza Lebrillo features blooming flowers and soon-to-be open buds on a bough that stretches to cover the entire base of the lebrillo bowl. The painter’s quick brushstrokes conjure a feeling of movement. We can almost hear the rustle of the leaves as the bird flits from branch to branch, eating seeds from each open flower.
The walls of the bowl show concentric undulating rings, from base to rim. In keeping with tradition, the border, left in its baked terracotta color, adds contrast to the ornate decoration.
This design epitomizes one of the main characteristics of Fajalauza pottery. Its penchant for horror vacui depicted through a profusion of vegetal motifs and intricate geometric patterns that create stunning tableaux.
Handpainted in our traditional copper green over milky white glaze, the lebrillo has become a much beloved decorative piece for the home and a treasure for passionate collectors.
