Handpainted by our artisan partners in southern Spain, the playful indigo blue painting on this serving bowl will liven up any table setting. True to its origins, the piece features motifs from the Andalusian countryside. A grey heron or garza real stands among pomegranate branches, its long neck twisted up toward the ripe fruit. A panoply of sea shells cover the rim of the plate.
Hand-crafted in Granada, the ancestral home of Fajalauza ceramics in Andalucía (Spain), these beautiful plates are sure to make an impression.
Similar to the traditional lebrillo, this fuente semillana dating back to Spain's Moorish era. These sturdy bowls have a flat bottom and a trapezoidal shape and usually feature a richly decorated bottom and body.
While they have retained their practical function at the table, fuentes are often displayed as wall accents alone or in combination with our traditional lebrillos.
