The glazed terracotta Spanish 'lebrillo' has become an iconic symbol of Granada and its 500-year-old Fajalauza stoneware tradition.
Painted in the intricate style that has become synonymous with Fajalauza, the Artesonado Lebrillo Serving Bowl in Green is a treat for the eyes. The central motif resembles the intricate Moorish ceilings built of colorful interlaced wooden laths called artesonados. These superimposed interwoven wooden beams create a stunning pattern of three-dimensional geometric forms.
Known as fuente semillana, this flat-bottomed bowl takes the same shape as a traditional Spanish lebrillo. Its leaner walls make it more suitable as tableware though it’s often elevated to the role of decorative object. Its detailed designs and unique shape bring a distinct Andalusian charm to any space.
This large bowl makes a stunning wall display.
