Our Pavo Real Small Serving Bowl features a regal peacock flanked by pomegranate trees and blooming flowers. A magical sight inspired by the Alcázar de los Mártires, a lush garden in Granada (Spain), where peacocks frolick in its Moorish patios under the orange and magnolia trees.
Entirely handmade and painted in the city of Granada, this flat-bottomed piece is an Andalusian emblem where it is know as a fuente semillana or plato semillano in allusion to its shape. With its flat base and trapezoidal body, this serving bowl falls somewhere between a round bowl and a plate.
This traditional piece of Spanish dinnerware is used for both eating and decorating.
