This sumptuous large ceramic bowl is hand-painted entirely by hand in a small workshop in Granada, Spain. The central motif is a design of flowers within a flower. The artisan has filled the larger bloom with small renditions of pomegranate branches, leaves and tear-drop buds. The body of the bowl features scalloped lines reminiscent of ocean waves. A decorative pattern of what looks like a ancient towers cut across the horizon.
This cheerful design is a testament to the ancient yet thriving tradition of Fajalauza craftsmanship.
