Hand-painted in a family-run workshop dating back to the 17th century, this stunning Bellota Fajalauza Serving Bowl shows the craftsmanship of our Fajalauza artisans.
The base of the bowl features a branch laden with flowers and a bright-eyed turning towards a bloom. The artist has used a cross-hatching pattern to represent the seeds of the blooming sunflowers and the walls of the wall are covered in a chain of interlaced wreaths.
Much like our Fajalauza lebrillos, this large flat-bottomed bowl has long been a staple in homes in southern Spain where it originally served as a serving bowl.
These ceramics held great significance for families. Passed down from one generation to another. If damaged, they were lovingly repaired but never discarded.
Of late, this Fajalauza bowl has become a decorative darling - used alone or in combination with traditional lebrillos in wall displays.
