Our hand-painted Fúscia Floral Dinner Plate takes its name from its stunning flower design. Inspired by the fuchsia plant, also known as “brinco de princesa” in Portuguese, this pattern features bright turquoise blue petals set against lush green leaves and vines.
All of our Portuguese ceramics are handcrafted with care by skilled artisans using age-old techniques passed down through generations.
This hand-painted dinner plate is made with red clay earthenware, a material that has been a staple in pottery throughout the region since the time of the Phoenicians. Its robustness and durability make it a favorite among potters.
Our pottery is hand-glazed and kiln-fired at over 1000ºC, ensuring that it is food-safe and boasts a glossy finish.
Each piece is decorated using the ancient Majolica technique. First introduced to Europe by the Moors about 1,000 years ago, this over-glaze method requires free-flowing brushwork that gives each piece its distinct character.
