This charming plate features an estornino or spotless starling, a songbird famous for its rousing symphony.
In keeping with Fajalauza tradition, the story of our Estornino plate begins in Granada, Spain. Go to Trinidad Square in Granada in the evening and you'll have a front row seat to the vocal theatrics of a massive flock of starlings.
Here our starling sits on a pomegranate tree branch, another common motif in Fajalauza ceramics. A decorative pattern of sea shells covers the plate from cheek to edge.
Hand-painted in indigo blue by our artisan partners, each plate is a testament to our commitment to traditional craftsmanship.
